API Flange

This screen is only to be used for API Specification 6A flanges.

The exact flange can be specified by using the drop down menus Flange Type, Rating and Nom. Size. The choices in each field reflect the terminology used by this code.

The dimensions of the flange as well as the RTJ gasket type number will now be displayed on the outline drawing on the left hand side of the screen.

Bolt Material. You may select from the listed bolting materials that appear from the drop down menu. The program will take account of the strength limitations due to bolt size.

RTJ Material. Select the gasket material. The only gasket type is the RTJ as this is the usual gasket fitted to API flanges.

You should now choose between Run Tension or Run Torque depending on the method of tightening you wish to use
